Overview

Folio is a document scanner app built with privacy as the primary principle. This privacy policy explains exactly what data we collect (none) and how the app works.

Data Collection

Folio does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers. Specifically:

Document Storage

All scanned documents are stored locally on your device in your phone's private storage directory. Documents are never transmitted to any server. When you uninstall the app, all documents are deleted from your device.

OCR (Text Recognition)

Folio uses Google ML Kit for on-device text recognition. ML Kit processes images entirely on your device. No images or extracted text are sent to Google servers or any external servers. The OCR processing happens completely offline.

Permissions

We do not request any other permissions. We do not access your contacts, location, microphone, or any other device features.

Third-Party Services

Children's Privacy

Folio does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages.
